How come the salary websites have dog groomer salary ranges that are so low?

What are chain store grooming academies?
Chain stores are the large retail pet supply stores. Many of these stores also offer pet grooming services as well as pet grooming training.
Can’t I get my training through a pet grooming program offered by one of these chain stores?
While you can receive training at these academies, the training is often inadequate. You should NEVER go through one of these training programs unless you know EXACTLY what to look for...

I am asked this question often, and here’s my simple answer: I don’t like online grooming courses because none that I’ve seen offer any kind of good hands-on training, and good hands-on training is key to becoming a great and well-paid pet groomer.
But these courses are so cheap, and I think they could really help me!
