Really if you have questions or thinking about going to grooming school I suggest reading this book first. You'll save your self a lot of time.

So then I thought about grooming and found this book. I didn’t buy it at first and kept reading articles online, but then decided to buy it based on the good reviews, and I’m really glad I did. This book answered all of my questions. The author did a great job explaining every little thing and you really get to experience what it’s like working in this career by reading the book. She also tells you step by step what you need to do to get into the career.

I give it five stars easy and I recommend it if you are looking for information about grooming as a career..

After reading it I immediately wanted to come here and share my thoughts about it. It really is a wonderful book, and a great resource for budding groomers and/or people who are contemplating this career.

In the first part of the book the author, Shelly White, explains exactly how she became a dog groomer. Her story is quite charming, and I’m sure most professional groomers will identify with a lot of what she went through.

In the second part of the book the author masterfully breaks down the grooming profession. She goes over every single aspect of how to become a groomer and what it takes to succeed.

One of the main points of the book is making the money that you deserve, where she explains that it IS possible to make great money in this career, and to not accept low-paying positions. That is absolutely true, and they are great words of wisdom.

This is the most thorough book I’ve ever read about becoming and working as a pet groomer. There is so much great content in the book, and I recommend it to anyone who has ever even thought about this career.

As a grooming salon owner who makes over $100,000 a year, I can honestly say that Shelly White has written one of the best books about pet grooming that I’ve ever come across. Bravo Mrs. White, bravo!

I graduated high school 2 years ago and have been working from home in customer support, but I never really wanted to do this plus the money just isn’t that great. Now I’m thinking about learning how to groom and working from home. That’s something that I had never even thought about before reading this book. The author goes over all of the places groomers work and I didn’t realize that some of them work from home which is perfect for me.

The book has a lot of great tips about how to get started and how to do it quickly. I was also relieved to find out you don’t need to go to college, because I had looked into some programs at a community college nearby but I just don’t have the money for even that. She gives some great tips on how to start training without paying for any kind of school which I can’t afford.

I also really liked the ‘How To Make Money’ book. That was also really really inspiring and made me want to get started as soon as possible with this. I’m in the process of getting some of my grooming tools and I’m super excited to get started! If you’re thinking about grooming then you will realy like this book!

She covers all of the pros and cons, how much money you can expect to make when you’re first starting, how to start and build up your business, etc.
There are a lot of possibilities and things you can do once you become a groomer and she also discusses the opportunities you will have. I’m planning to become a groomer and I’m sure I’ll be going back to this book again and again as I go forward

Well, fast forward 6 months and I’m now working at a small salon near my house under a groomer named Janet who is a really great teacher. I really feel like I couldn’t have done this so fast without this book. It really does have great advice that helped me with everything. I also loved reading it it wasn’t boring at all, I actually couldn’t put it down. I would say it’s a must have if youre also thinking about learning how to groom even just your own dogs.

I truly feel like the author and her book has changed my life. I know I’m on the right path and now instead of being depressed and dreading each day, I’m actually looking forward to the future. Plus working with animals every day is sooo therapeutic. This was one of the best things that could have happened for me. Thank you so much Shelly for putting in the time and effort to make this wonderful book, you are the tru definition of a role model and I’m so glad I found you!
